Kickstarter for my video series!

Posted by MarcusRaven - April 29th, 2014

I launched a Kickstarter for my two video series last night.

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/588784967/nevermore-studios-video-series

Be sure to check it out and give a hand! I'm already incorporating some Newgrounds audio here and there (with proper permissions, of course), but I'd love to see more assistance from the Portal.

The two series are OUYA OhYeah! - an OUYA focused review series, and Family Man Gamer - a general review series based on a family perspective.

More about the series can be read on the Kickstarter. Also check me out on YouTube and subscribe for more!

I watched you first episode of OUYA Oh Yeah! And after watching it, I've decided that I'm not going to back you.
The review I watched was more informative than enjoyable to me, and if that is what you are trying to do then that's fine, but I was struggling to watch because it felt like a very bland review. You also don't really state your opinions very much in the reviews either, and again, if you are trying to review for everyone, you've nailed it, but I myself was expecting a little more about what you really thought about the overall game.

I hope everything works out for you, but I really cannot see myself backing you. Good luck Marcus.

Did you check out the second episode? Its a little better than the first. A lot of this is still a process.

I find that the main issue with reviews nowadays is the overload of personal opinion, which leads to unnecessary bias.

I'm not trying to change your mind about backing. I respect your reasons. I am working on finding a good writing method for these reviews that will allow my opinions to be expressed without bias, and that's a difficult line to balance on.

Thank you for your honesty. It will help with future production.
